Psychotherapy and Counselling
DIP. PSYCHOTHERAPUTIC COUNSELLING
Counselling is a partnership between therapist and client. The helper (counsellor) listens to the client, and uses his or her skills to help the client work out how best to deal with their problems.
This very valuable form of help can often alleviate the client's problems without them having to resort to drugs. It helps to talk to someone impartial and professional who can give you the best possible guidance. In my opinion clients come to therapists for solutions, help and advice rather than just listening and reflecting. I believe practical advice, skills, and techniques for conscious change will lead to solutions, change and healing.
Counselling can help resolve many emotional or behavioural difficulties.
