Or you may simply wish to have hypnotherapy for PURE RELAXATION and THE FEEL GOOD FACTOR! Come away from the session feeling refreshed, bright, alert, energised and full of zest for life!
Hypnotherapy is essentially a deeply relaxed state of mind brought about by the use of a set of relaxation techniques; it is a means of deep relaxation whereby you are settled into a very calm state of mind, just as it feels before you go to sleep or on waking up. It is an exercise in deep muscle relaxation creating a mental state of complete rest, free from negative or worrying thoughts. It enhances an individual's concentration and increases their responsiveness to suggestion in order to make the beneficial changes that an individual may wish to make in their thought patterns, their behaviours and their psychological state. Your subconscious mind looks after all the information you have learned throughout your life, your habits, your behaviours, so that your conscious mind can get on with the business of life. In the hypnotic state the therapist can access your subconscious mind to change unwanted thoughts and behaviours and enhance and promote good thoughts. A deep hypnotic state will produce a free floating feeling of complete relaxation. Together we are then able to change the way you think about your problem, and deal with it successfully.
Your hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything you would not want to do, or would morally object to. Hypnosis is a completely natural state. You cannot get stuck in a hypnotic state. Left to your own devices you would come out of hypnosis on your own. You can come out of hypnosis whenever you wish. You are always in control.
Hypnosis is not sleep and does not involve losing consciousness. You are still very much in touch with your surroundings and will not at any time lose control; if anything hypnotherapy heightens self control. The Hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything against your will. You stay in control of your mind and are entirely free to think your own thoughts during the treatment.
Whilst you are in a relaxed hypnotic state you will be aware of what is happening. In this pleasant state of mind your subconscious mind is open to suggestion to allow changes to your behaviour as you would wish, and because you are in hypnosis the information will go directly into your subconscious mind to help you achieve your goals.
The number of sessions you may need will be discussed and agreed by both client and therapist.
My agreement must be read and signed by both parties before therapy begin
